THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL AND QUALITY OF LIFE OF ELDERLY FARMERS IN CIPAKU VILLAGE KADIPATEN SUBDISTRICT MAJALENGKA DISTRICT

The elderly are individuals whose age is 60 (sixty) years and over. Physical changes
that tend to decrease in the elderly will cause various physical disorders characterized
by the inability of the elderly to do physical activities or activities that affect health and
will have an impact on the quality of life of the elderly. The purpose of this study was
to determine the relationship between physical activity level and quality of life in
elderly farmers in Cipaku Village Kadipaten District Majalengka Regency.
The population in this study were elderly farmers of Cipaku Cipaku Village, Kadipaten
District, Majalengka Regency, totaling 103 elderly people and the sampling technique
used the Slovin formula of 51 respondents. The research instrument used the Global
Physical Activity Quisionnaire (GPAQ) questionnaire and the World Health
Organization Quality Of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL- BREF) and data analysis
using the Spearman Rank test.
The results of this study found that almost all respondents had high physical activity as
many as 41 respondents (80.4%) and most of the quality of life was very good 35
