The prevalence of RM children in Indonesia is estimated at 1-3% of the total
population of Indonesia experiencing RM or around 6.6 million people, of this number
children who suffer from mild RM or are weak of mind are 3.5%. Children with mild
mental retardation are children with intellectual conditions or IQ scores below average.

therapy on social abilities at SLBN Budi Utama, Cirebon City.

experimental method with a one group pre-test post-test design. Sampling used a total

questionnaire sheets. The analysis used is the paired samples t-test. The research location
was carried out at SLBN Budi Utama, Cirebon City, 3 times a two weeks for 30 minute.
This The research results showed that the majority of respondents before giving

the good social skills category. After carrying out ABA therapy, there was an increase in
their social abilities, with the results being that 26 respondents (86,7%) were in the good
category, and 4 respondents (13,3%) were in the poor social skills category. Research
results: There is an effect of ABA therapy on social abilities in children with mild mental
retardation at SLBN Budi Utama, Cirebon City with p value < α (p value = 0.000 < α =
