Abstract
Comprehensive midwifery care is a service provided in a thorough and
continuous manner to pregnant women, starting from pregnancy, childbirth,
postpartum period, newborn care, up to family planning. This final project report
aims to provide an overview of the comprehensive midwifery care process given
to Mrs. D at Babakan Community Health Center, Cirebon Regency in 2025. The
approach used in the implementation of this care includes the midwifery
management method and documentation using SOAP (Subjective, Objective,
Assessment, Planning).
The method used was a case study with a continuity of care approach. The
care began in the third trimester of pregnancy, followed by labor, newborn care,
postpartum period, and family planning services. The assessment results showed
that Mrs. D had a normal pregnancy, the labor process occurred spontaneously
without complications, the baby was born healthy, the postpartum period
proceeded physiologically, and the mother chose a 3-month injectable
contraceptive method for family planning.
The care provided followed the standards of midwifery services, including
education on pregnancy danger signs, the importance of ANC visits, early
initiation of breastfeeding (EIB), exclusive breastfeeding, and postpartum family
planning. The results of this care indicate that comprehensive midwifery services
can improve the mother's understanding and readiness to undergo each stage of
reproduction safely and healthily.
