Abstract
In this era of rapid technological development, the utilization of technology in
learning is one of the tools to increase technology-based knowledge. Manual coding using
the ICD-10 book has limitations in finding codes that take a long time. The implementation
of student coding learning usually uses book-based ICD-10 to switch to the utilization of
web-based ICD-10. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of web-based ICD-10 in
learning medical codification in medical record students at the Mahardika Institute of
Technology and Health.
This type of research uses quantitative with a descriptive approach. The population
in this study were 130 respondents with the sample used as many as 57 respondents. The
instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet with a guttman measurement scale.
Based on the results of research at the Mahardika Institute of Technology and
Health, it can be concluded that 36 people consider web-based ICD-10 learning to be very
effective, with interval values of 7 to 10 and a percentage of effectiveness ≥68%. The
average result in this category is that web-based ICD-10 is very helpful in learning medical
codification with ease of code search, easy to access anywhere, easy to understand, easy
to use, of course more economical than conventional ICD. However, as many as 4 people
rated the learning as ineffective, with an interval value between 0 to 3 and a percentage of
effectiveness ≤33%. The average result in this category is 30. The possible cause is because
they are not used to using web-based ICD in learning
.
