Abstract

Medical record file storage room, namely a room that stores medical record files
of patients who have finished treatment. In the medical record room the medical record
officer is fully responsible for the completeness and provision of files that may be needed
at any time. The officer must really take care that the medical record files that are stored
and properly organized and protected from possible file theft or leakage of medical record
contents. The purpose of this study was to determine the Spatial Planning for Storage of
Medical Record Documents at M.A Sentot Patrol Regional General Hospital in Indramayu.
The type of research used is quantitative. This research instrument used an
observation sheet. The variable in this study was the Spatial Planning of Medical Record
Documents.
The results of research at this hospital showed that the medical record shelf from
the observation sheet was 2.30 m in long, 41 cm in wide, 2.9 m in high. The long of medical
record shelf was not ideal to the theory. The filling room was 7.16 m in long, 6.06 m in
wide, the distance between the two shelves for passing was 90 cm, the vacant space in front
was 106 cm.
Based on the results of the study, it was suggested that medical record officers
conduct outreach regarding the importance of the need for medical record shelves, so that
there is no accumulation of scattered medical record documents in the filling room.
