(KTI) REVIEW OF RELEASE OF MEDICAL INFORMATION FOR PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE CLAIMS AT SUMBER WARAS HOSPITAL

Release of medical information for administrative purposes, insurance payments must be made in writing or through an electronic information system. In the process of releasing medical information must comply with the established standard operating procedures. Based on the results of a preliminary study by looking at the data on the release of medical information for private health insurance claims in the last 1 month at Sumber Waras Hospital, there are still many releases of medical information that do not comply with the SOP.The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the release of medical information for private health insurance claims at Sumber Waras Hospital.
This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with an observation method, this research instrument uses a checklist sheet. The population in this study were documents for the release of medical information for private health insurance claims from January to March 2025 with a total of 45 documents. The sample in this study used a total sampling technique with 45 documents.
The results of this study from 45 documents for the release of medical information for private health insurance claims were 3 (6.7%) documents that were in accordance with the SOP and 42 (93.3%) documents that were not in accordance with the SOP.
The release of medical information for private health insurance claims at Sumber Waras Hospital is still largely not in accordance with the SOP. Efforts to overcome this are that officers implementing the release of medical information must comply more with the SOPs that have been set by the hospital, and there needs to be socialization regarding the SOP for the release of medical information to third parties.
