Abstract
The quality of hospital services is greatly influenced by the timely availability of
medical records, especially in inpatient care. The utilization of Electronic Medical Records
(EMR) is one of the efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of hospital services. EMR
systems are expected to accelerate the process of providing medical data and support the
smooth delivery of care to patients.
This study aims to analyze the quality of inpatient medical record provision
through the use of EMR at Pertamina Cirebon Hospital. The research employs a
descriptive quantitative method with data collection conducted through observation. The
sample consists of 85 inpatient medical record documents, selected using accidental
sampling. Data were analyzed based on the timeliness of medical record provision
compared to the minimum service standard (MSS), which is less than 15 minutes.
The results showed that the majority of medical record provisions met the
established time standard, with 80 documents (94.12%) classified as high quality.
However, a small number of documents (5 or 5.88%) exceeded the time standard,
indicating the need for improvement in the provision process. Identified obstacles included
technical issues such as system errors or slow data access, which hindered staff from
obtaining records quickly.
Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of EMR is quite effective
in supporting the quality of inpatient medical record provision, although improvements in
infrastructure and human resources are still needed. This study is expected to serve as a
reference for hospitals in evaluating and developing their medical record systems to
support faster, more accurate, and more efficient services.
