Abstract

Pregnancy is considered normal if it does not fall under the category of high-risk pregnancy,
both for the mother and the fetus, during pregnancy, labor, and post-delivery. High-risk
factors include a mother’s height of less than 145 cm, abnormal pelvic shape, maternal age
under 20 years or over 35 years, having more than four children, a birth interval of less than
two years, a history of miscarriage, cesarean section, or myomectomy, as well as the
presence of underlying health conditions.
This study aims to provide comprehensive midwifery care to Ny. K, starting from
pregnancy, labor, newborn care, the puerperium, neonates, and family planning services
within the working area of Puskesmas Sindanglaut.
The methods employed include the collection of primary data through interviews,
observations, and physical examinations, as well as secondary data from laboratory results,
supporting examinations (such as ultrasound, X-rays), and the KIA (Mother and Child
Health) book. The results show that Ny. K's pregnancy proceeded normally without any
risk factors. This success demonstrates that comprehensive midwifery care plays an
essential role in detecting and preventing complications. In conclusion, the continuity of
care approach in comprehensive midwifery care is crucial in enhancing the overall quality
of maternal and child healthcare services.
