Abstract

Comprehensive midwifery care is a continuous service covering pregnancy,
childbirth, postpartum, newborn care, and family planning. This report aims to
provide care for Mrs. A, 32 years old, G2P1A0, with a gestational age of 37 weeks
2 days, at Sindanglaut Public Health Center, Cirebon, from February to May 2025.
A case study method with a continuity of care approach was used. Data were
collected through interviews, physical examinations, and SOAP documentation.
During pregnancy, maternal and fetal conditions were within normal limits.
Spontaneous delivery occurred on April 9, 2025, at 02:40 AM. A male baby was
born weighing 2880 grams, 49 cm in length, cried strongly, and Early Initiation of
Breastfeeding (EIBF) was successfully performed.
On postpartum day 21, the mother experienced left breast engorgement.
Management included education, proper breastfeeding techniques, warm-cold
compresses, and lactation massage. On day 30, both mother and baby were in good
condition, and the mother chose a 3-month injectable contraceptive.
The care provided followed midwifery standards and yielded optimal results.
This report is expected to serve as a reference for health professionals in delivering
continuous and comprehensive midwifery services.
