Abstract

The maternal mortality rate (MMR) worldwide according to Unicef (2021) in
2020 was 223 deaths per 100,000 live births with the cause of maternal mortality
being high blood pressure during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia and eclampsia),
bleeding, postpartum infection, and unsafe abortion. Meanwhile, the maternal
mortality rate in Indonesia is 189 female deaths during pregnancy, childbirth or
postpartum per 100,000 live births. The AKI value in West Java is 187 per 100,000
births, and in Cirebon Regency in 2020 the number of maternal deaths is 84.2 per
100,000 live births. Meanwhile, in West Java, the number of infant deaths is 13.56
deaths per 1000 live births. Comprehensive midwifery care aims to provide
integrated midwifery care services starting from pregnancy, childbirth,
postpartum, newborn to family planning. This type of report is designed with an
operational descriptive method with a case study approach. Care begins from the
third trimester of pregnancy until the postpartum period ends through interviews,
observations and documentation in the form of SOAP. The subject of this report is
Mrs. S, 28 years old, G3P1A1, in the work area of the UPTD Kubangdeleg Health
Center, Cirebon Regency, from March 5 to May 6, 2024. From the data obtained
by the author during the Comprehensive Midwifery Care for Mrs. S since 38 weeks
of gestation, at the time of childbirth, the postpartum period and the newborn. The
author concludes that Mrs. S's pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and newborn
period are normal so that there is no gap between theory and practice. It is hoped
that clients can apply the counseling that has been provided during midwifery care
so that the condition of the mother and baby remains good and can prevent
morbidity and mortality.
