Abstract

Comprehensive midwifery care is a service provided in detail, comprehensively
and continuously for pregnant women, childbirth, postpartum and newborns
which is expected to reduce IMR and MMR which is one of the biggest problems
in the world. The aim of this case study is to apply midwifery care to Mrs. “Pr”
G1P0A0 with a gestational age of 35 weeks 1 day at the UPTD of the Pasaleman
Health Center, Cirebon Regency from February to April 2024.
This type of report uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The care
methods used are interviews, observation, and documentation in the form of
SOAP. Care provided during pregnancy visits 2 times, delivery 1 time,
postpartum 4 times, newborn baby 4 times.
At the beginning of the visit the mother complained of swelling in the lower
extremities and this could be resolved by providing counseling. The birth process
of Mrs. "Pr" walked spontaneously at 37 weeks 2 days of gestation without any
complications during the delivery process. Baby Mrs. "Pr" was born
spontaneously on 03-10-2024 at 03.50 WIB, male, crying strongly, reddish skin,
good muscle tone, birth weight 2,500 grams, baby length 51 cm. At 6 hours
postpartum the mother complained of heartburn and pain in the stitches, this
problem was resolved by administering anti-pain medication and providing
counseling. After the postpartum period, mothers use injectable birth control for 3
months.
After the author carried out pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, newborn and
family planning care for Mrs. "Pr" aged 23 years P1A0 which started at the
gestation age of 35 weeks 1 day until using contraception can be concluded that in
providing detailed and comprehensive midwifery services there are no gaps and
abnormalities or signs of danger experienced by the mother and newborn.
