Abstract

Comprehensive obstetric care is obstetric care that is provided comprehensively
from pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum to newborns to reduce the rate of illness and death
in mothers and babies. This case study aims to provide and implement midwifery care for
Mrs. N, 26 years old, G2P1A0 with a gestational age of 37 weeks, at the Astanajapura
Health Center, Cirebon Regency from February to May 2024.
This type of report uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The
parenting methods used are interviews, observations and documentation in the form of
SOAP. The subject of the study was Mrs. N, 26 years old.
The results of the research that has been carried out on Mrs. N are providing
pregnancy care in the form of pregnancy visits 2 times, childbirth 1 time, postpartum 4
times, newborns 4 times, and family planning services 1 time. During pregnancy, the
mother complained of lower abdominal pain and frequent urination in the third trimester,
these complaints are still categorized physiological. Mrs. N's delivery process took place
normally at 38 weeks of pregnancy, no complications were found, the delivery went
smoothly. Baby Mrs. N was born on March 22, 2024 at 13.30 WIB with a male gender,
crying strongly, with a BB of 2,800 grams and a PB of 49 cm. During the postpartum
period, the mother complains that breast milk comes out little and can be overcome with
health education, nutritional patterns, namely protein nutritional needs and doing oxytocin
massage. In the care of newborns, Mrs. N complained that her baby had red rashes on the
skin and could be overcome with health education about baby hygiene patterns. After the
postpartum period is over, the mother uses injectable birth control for 3 months.
The comprehensive obstetric care provided to Mrs. N runs according to the plan
that has been made and has been evaluated following the procedures at the Astanajapura
Health Center, Cirebon Regency.
