THEEFFECT OF HEALTH PROMOTION THROUGHVIDEO MEDIA ON THE ACCURACY OF HOW TO WASH HANDS WITH SOAP AT SDN PENGABEAN 01 BREBES REGENCY

Health promotion is one of the efforts to improve handwashing with soap
behavior, and one of the media used in health promotion is video media. The aim of
this study is to determine whether there is an effect of Health Promotion through
Video Media on the Accuracy of Handwashing with Soap at SDN Pengabean 01,
Brebes Regency.
The type and method of research used is Quasi-Experimental Design with a
pretest-posttest design without a control group. The population of this study
consisted of all fifth-grade students at SDN Pengabean 01, Brebes Regency, totaling
75 students. The sample for this study included all 75 students using total sampling.
The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire and an observation sheet.
Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the
Wilcoxon test. The research was conducted on May 20–21, 2025, at SDN
Pengabean 01, Brebes Regency.
The research results showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that
the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This indicates that there is an effect of health
promotion through video on the accuracy of handwashing with soap at SDN
Pengabean 01, Brebes Regency.
After the research was conducted, it is expected that the school will support
students in developing the habit of handwashing with soap at school and enhance
video media to be more varied and innovative.
