Abstract
One of the efforts to improve handwashing behavior with soap is through health education.
Health education can be done through animated video media. Visualization of animated
images can attract students' interest in learning so that knowledge can be absorbed optimally.
The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of health education through
animated video media on handwashing behavior with soap in at state elementary school 01
Tuk.
The research method used is Quasi Experimental Design with a pretest-posttest design without
control group. The population of this study is all students of at state elementary school 01 Tuk
as many as 484 students. The sample of this study as many as 83 students was calculated using
the slovin formula with the stratisfied random sampling proportional technique. The
instruments of this research are in the form of questionnaires and observation sheets. Data
analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon Test. The research was
carried out on March 18-19, 2025 at at state elementary school 01 Tuk.
The results of the analysis of the health education university showed 81.9% (good) and 18.1%
(less). The pre-test was 1.2% good and 98.8% was poor, while the b-test showed 97.6% good,
just 2.4%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that Ho was rejected, meaning that
there was an influence of health education through animated videos on the behavior of washing
hands with soap at at state elementary school 01 Tuk, Cirebon regency.
