Abstract
Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) are a cause of morbidity and mortality related
to infectious diseases throughout the world. Factors that influence the occurrence
of ISPA are physical environmental factors including the physical condition of the
house. Physical conditions of the house that do not meet health requirements or
physical requirements including (housing density, ventilation and floor type)
cancause ISPA in toddlers. The purpose of studi research the relationship of the
physical environmental conditions of the house to the incidence of ISPA in
toddlers at of Cangkol community health center in area Cirebon of city
The research method was quantitative with an analytical observational
research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 82
toddlers who were in the working area of the Cangkol Community Health Center,
Cirebon City and the sampling method used a simple random sampling technique
using observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis used frequency
distribution and chi-square tests.
The results of this study showed that there was a relationship between
residential density to the incidence of ISPA in toddlers (p Value = 0.025), house
ventilation and the incidence of ISPA in toddlers (p Value = 0.012) and floor type
and the incidence of ISPA in toddlers (p Value = 0.032). Every community is
expected to increase awareness and awareness of the causes of ISPA in toddlers
by paying attention to the condition of the physical environment of the house
which includes residential density, house ventilation and floor type
