THE EFFECT OF PROVIDING OHS COUNSELING ON THE LEVEL OF COMPLIANCE OF WORKERS USING PPE AT THE RECYCLING CENTER IN CIREBON CITY

Occupational accidents and diseases occur one of which is caused by human
error or human error. So that occupational safety and health is an important matter to be
implemented in the work environment, one of the K3 components is the use of personal
protective equipment (PPE). This study aims to determine the effect of providing K3
counseling on the level of compliance of workers using PPE at the Cirebon City
Recycling Center in 2023.
The research design uses a quantitative observational analytic design with a
cross sectional approach. The instruments used were questionnaire sheets and checklist
sheets. The number of samples is 23 workers. The sampling technique in this study was
total sampling, using univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. This
research was conducted at the Cirebon City Recycling Center in June 2023.
From the results of statistical tests using the Chi-Square test obtained p-value =
0.017 ((<0.05) ) which means that Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted, indicating that there
is an influence between the provision of K3 counseling on the level of compliance of
workers using PPE at the City Recycling Center Cirebon in 2023.
The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between the provision
of K3 counseling on the compliance level of workers using PPE at the Cirebon City
Recycling Center. So that it is expected to be able to encourage agencies to make efforts
to increase worker compliance using PPE in order to reduce risks and prevent workrelated accidents and diseases in the work environment.
