UNDERSTANDING ON YELLOW LABEL FAMILY PATIENTS IN EMERGENCY WARD AT MITRA PLUMBON HOSPITAL CIREBON

Psychological conditions of patient families that can be found in the Emergency
Department include anxiety, depression, and stress. Increasing patient family
understanding of triage services, particularly for yellow-label patients, will reduce family
anxiety while waiting for care in the Emergency Department. The purpose of this study is
to investigate the understanding of triage and anxiety among family members of yellowlabel patients in the Emergency Department of Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Cirebon
Regency.
This study uses a descriptive research design, with a population of all family members
accompanying yellow-label patients who entered the Emergency Department. The
number of respondents was 49 family members. The research instrument used was a
questionnaire.
The study was conducted from July 10-20, 2024, and univariate analysis was used. The
results showed that most respondents (51%) had a poor understanding of triage, and a
small proportion (12.2%) had a good understanding.
Providing initial information to patients and their families by medical teams and
healthcare professionals in the department is necessary.
