Abstract

Partner support is reliable and can help patients manage their illness, such as diet
and medication. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship
between partner support and the quality of life of hemodialysis patients at Waled

Regional Hospital, Cirebon Regency, in 2025. This study used a quantitative cross-
sectional approach. This study was conducted on hemodialysis patients at Waled

Regional Hospital, Cirebon Regency, with a population of 108 respondents using
quota sampling. The standard questionnaires used were Partner Support and
WHOQoL Brief. The chi-square test was used. The results showed that partner
support was mostly supportive (60%). The quality of life of hemodialysis patients
was mostly good (42%). The relationship between partner support and the quality
of life of hemodialysis patients at Waled Regional Hospital, Cirebon Regency, in
2025 was significant (p-value 0.000 α 0.05). The recommendations in this study can
address the problems identified by the researchers, particularly regarding the
quality of life of hemodialysis patients at Waled Regional Hospital, Cirebon, in
2025.
