Abstract
Female patients with cesarean section, the recovery process takes a long time, so
there needs to be motivation in carrying out early mobilization. From the results
of a preliminary study, there were 6 post-cesarean section patients who were
treated less than 24 hours post-cesarean section surgery. The age distribution of
the 6 patients varied from 20 to 48 years of age. All of these patients experienced
a decrease in motivation to carry out early mobilization, 5 patients (83.3%) of
whom were still unable to sit alone. The purpose of this study was to determine
the relationship between age and early mobilization motivation in post-cesarean
section patients at Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Cirebon Regency in 2024.
The research design used in this study was a correlational description research
design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all postcesarean section patients treated at Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Cirebon Regency
with the number of respondents as a research sample of 49 patients. The research
instrument used a questionnaire sheet.
The results of the study were analyzed through univariate analysis and bivariate
analysis using the chi square test. Almost half of the respondents were classified
as early adults, namely 22 respondents (44.9%). Most respondents had a good
level of early mobilization motivation, namely 28 respondents (57.1%). There was
a relationship between age and early mobilization motivation of patients, with the
strength of the relationship being quite strong.
