THE CORRELATION OF IMPLEMENTATION NURSING DISCHARGE PLANNING AND PATIENTS SATISFACTION IN NUSA INDAH HOSPITALIZATION RSUD WALED

The high demands of the community for nursing services and the emergence of
competition in many sectors, require nurses to be able to compete by providing
quality services, especially inpatient discharge planning programs. The
implementation of the patient discharge planning program/Discharge Planning is
the main thing that must be considered and its quality improved in accordance
with applicable standards.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the
implementation of nurse discharge planning and the level of patient satisfaction in
the Nusa Indah Room, Waled Hospital. This type of research is correlational
analytic with cross sectional.
The population in this study was 239 people who were inpatients of the Nusa
Indah Room for the last 3 months. The sampling technique for this study was Non
Probability Sampling, namely consecutive sampling. The sample used was 37
respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This research
instrument used a questionnaire that had been tested by previous researchers.
Data analysis used the Spearman rank test.
The results of this study indicate that patients stated that the implementation of
nurse discharge planning was in the good category as many as 34 patients
(94.43%) and had a patient satisfaction level in the very satisfying category
(94.43%). Patients stated that the implementation of nurse discharge planning
was sufficient as many as 3 people (5.57%) with 2 of them having very
satisfactory satisfaction (5.55%) and 1 other having sufficient satisfaction
(0.02%).
The results of the Spearman rank test with a p value of <0.05 obtained p of
<0.001 so that H1 was accepted which means that there is a relationship between
the implementation of nurse discharge planning and patient satisfaction in the
Nusa Indah room of Waled Hospital with a relationship level of 0.561. So it can bex
concluded that the better the implementation of nurse discharge planning, the
higher the level of patient satisfaction.
The researcher's suggestion for hospital institutions is that this study can provide
suggestions or input to hospitals to maintain the implementation of nurse
discharge planning that has been running well in all inpatient installations of the
hospital in order to increase the level of patient satisfaction in nursing services.
For the ITEKES Mahardika Cirebon institution, the results of this study are
expected to be learning materials and applications of knowledge in the field of
management, especially in the field of nursing management.Keywords: Discharge
