The Relationship Between Family Support and stress levels in the elderly in the working area of the puskesmas is occupied by Indramayu regency

Family support is a form that must be given to families which is included in the
management of stress in the elderly. Because it is through the family that health
problems can arise and can be overcome at the same time. So having family
support that has emotional ties will at least give strength to the elderly to live a
better old age. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship
between family support and stress levels in the elderly in the working area of the
Losarang Public Health Center, Indramayu district
This type of research is a correlational descriptive quantitative research with a
cross sectional approach. Sampling using porpusive sampling technique totaling
72 respondents. The instruments used were family support questionnaires on
family scale perceptions of social support (PSS-Fa) and the stress level of the
Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42). Data analysis used the spearmank
rank test. The research location is in the working area of the Losarang Health
Center, Indramayu Regency.
The results of this study showed that most respondents lacked family support, 31
respondents (43.1%) and most respondents experienced moderate levels of stress,
24 respondents (33.3%). The results of the Spearmank rank test obtained a p-value
of 0.000 <a (0.05) then H0 = rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between
family support and stress levels in the elderly in the working area of the Losarang
Health Center, Indramayu district. can live a better aging life
