CORRELATION BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT AND THE ACTIVITY OF INTEGRATED HEALTH POST VISITS AMONG THE ELDERLY IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS CILEDUG

Posbindu is the provision of health services for the elderly to improve the health
of the elderly through routine examinations. Tenjomaya village shows that the
level of activeness of the elderly in visiting posbindu is still low. The aim of this
research is to determine correlation between family support and the activity of
integrated health post visits among the elderly in the working area of the
community health centers Ciledug.
This research design uses a correlational descriptive method. The elderly
population living with their families is 97 elderly. The sample was 49 elderly
people and the sampling technique used purposive sampling. The instruments
used were questionnaires and study note sheets documenting posbindu visits. The
analysis test uses the Spearman Rank test.
The research results showed that the majority of respondents received family
support in the high category (71.4%), and less than half of the respondents were
very active in visiting the posbindu (40.8%). The results of the Spearman Rank
test obtained a significant value, a strong correlation coefficient value and a
positive direction between family support and the activeness of posbindu visits, so
H0 was rejected which means is a significant correlation between family support
and the activity of integrated health post visits among the elderly in the working
area of the community health centers Ciledug p value 0,000 < α (0,01) r = 0,623.
The higher the family support, the more active the elderly's posbindu visits will be.
It is hoped that the puskesmas can improve the posbindu program and make
efforts to develop the posbindu activity program, so that the elderly can increase
posbindu visits.
