THE RELATIONSHIP OF STRES LEVEL AND THE INCIDENT OF GASTRITIS IN RESIDENTS OF TENJOMAYA VILLAGE CILEDUG HEALTH CENTER WORKING AREA

Stres is an imbalance in the self or soul and the realities of everyday life that
cannot be avoided or changes that require adaptation. Gastritis is an
inflammatory process of the gastric mucosa and submucosa, or a health disorder
caused by irritation and infection. The aim of this research is to determine the
relationship between stres levels and the incidence of gastritis in residents in
Tenjomaya Village, Ciledug Community Health Center Working Area.
This research uses quantitative methods using a correlational design with a cross
sectional approach. The population was all residents affected by gastritis in
Tenjomaya Village, totaling 57 people and the sampling technique used purposive
sampling technique totaling 57 respondents. The instrumen used was a
questionnaire and data analysis used the chi square test.
The research results showed that the majority of respondents had moderate levels
of stres, 17 respondents (29.8%) and the majority of respondents had chronic
gastritis, 33 respondents (57.9%). The results of the chi square test showed that
the p value was 0.003 < α = 0.05, so H0 = failed to be accepted and Ha =
accepted so it could be concluded that there was a relationship between stres
levels and the incidence of gastritis in residents in Tenjomaya Village, Ciledug
Health Center Working Area.
