Abstract
Early mobilization is an activity or movement or change of position carried out by
patients several hours after surgery. Early mobilization can be done above the bed
by doing simple movements (such as tilting right-tilting left and sitting exercises)
until you can get out of bed, practice walking to the bathroom and walking out of
the room (Banamtum, 2021). This study aims to determine the relationship between
Early Mobilization Education and the Mobility Ability of Post-Laparatomy Patients
at Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Majalengka.
The type of quantitative research with the design used in this study is pre-
experimental. The patient population was 65 post-laparotomy patients. Samples
were taken using the Purposive technique with education and mobility instruments.
The results of the study obtained the results of bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon
test obtained p-value = 0.000 (<0.05) there was an effect of providing early
mobilization education on the mobility ability of post-laparotomy patients at Mitra
Plumbon Hospital, Majalengka.
This study is expected to provide education with the mobility ability of post-
laparotomy patients at Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Majalengka.
