Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is one of the cardiovascular diseases that causes
disturbances in the function of the heart and blood vessels, this disease is caused by plaque
that accumulates in the coronary arteries resulting in narrowing or blockage of blood flow
that supplies oxygen (O2) to the heart muscle.
This research method uses quantitative research with a descriptive correlation
design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were coronary heart
patients at Gunung Jati Regional Hospital, Cirebon City, with a sample of 93 respondents.
The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The instruments used were the
Spiritual Well-Being Questionnaire (SWBQ) adopted from Fisher and the World Health
Organization Quality Of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL- BREF) adopted from WHO. Data
were analyzed univariately and bivariately using Spearman rank.
The results showed that there was a significant correlation between spiritual wellbeing and quality of life with a spearman rank value obtained p-value = 0.001 (p < 0.05)
and a correlation coefficient of 0.473, then Ho = rejected. This research is expected that
coronary heart patients have spiritual well-being and good quality of life and have a
harmonious relationship with themselves, family, environment and God.
