Abstract

Diarrhea is a disease characterized by changes in stool patterns with excessive
defecation more than 3 times a day. Indonesia has 8,600 cases of diarrhea in children
under 5 years of age, ranking 12th out of 15 Southeast Asian countries. The aim of this
study was to determine the relationship between clean and healthy living behavior and a
history of diarrhea toddlers. This research uses quantitative methods using a
correlational. The data analysis used is univariate analysis.
The population in this study was 150 toddlers who had experienced diarrhea at the Talun
Health Center in 2023-2024. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula. The
sample obtained was 43 toddlers who had experienced diarrhea at the Talun Health
Center. The research instrument uses a questionnaire. With PHBS indicators, namely
healthy and nutritious food, weighing babies and toddlers, using clean water, washing
hands with clean water and soap, using healthy latrines, throwing rubbish in the right
place. And indicators of diarrhea are defecating 3x a day or more and watery feces.
The results of this research showed that the majority of respondents had good clean and
healthy living behavior, showing that 37 respondents (86%).
