Abstract
Gross Death Rate (GDR) is the general death rate for every 1000 patients discharged, The
ideal standard set by the GDR indicator is <45%. Net Death Rate (NDR) or commonly
called the net death rate is the proportion of all inpatients who die after receiving more
than or equal to 48 hours in a certain period of time, including BBL or newborns who then
die, The ideal standard set by the Ministry of Health is <25%. The purpose of this study
was to determine the suitability of the ideal standard figures for GDR and NDR according
to the Indonesian Ministry of Health at the Pantura Regional General Hospital, M.A. Sentot
Patrol Indramayu.
This type of research uses quantitative descriptive. The variables in this study are
Gross Death Rate and Net Death Rate. The subjects in this study were secondary data from
the inpatient census. The data collection technique used an observation sheet with research
instruments, namely collection, editing, tabulation, calculation.
Based on the results of the study, it showed that the highest GDR value was in 2021
(62%) and the lowest in 2018 (47%). When compared with the quality of service based on
medical indicators, it shows that GDR is not yet in accordance with the standards of the
Indonesian Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, the NDR value experienced instability in 2020
- 2021. In 2021, it increased to (34%) and in 2020 (33%). When compared with the quality
of service based on medical indicators, it shows that NDR is in accordance with the
standards of the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2022.
