Based on preliminary studies at the Pabedilan Health Center, it was found
that the medical record file storage room door was not always locked, and the
storage rack still used wood-based shelves which were considered less safe from
fire. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts of the medical records
department in maintaining the security and confidentiality of medical record
documents at the Pabedilan Health Center.
The type of research used is a descriptive research method and uses a
qualitative approach. The object of this study is a medical record officer in the
filling room totaling 1 person. The instruments used in this study were checklist
sheets, interview guidelines, thermohygrometers. The time of this study was
conducted on June 6-June 8, 2023. The data sources used are primary data
obtained from observations and secondary data sources obtained from standard
operating confidentiality procedures.
The results of the study found that the safety of medical record files on

biological aspects in the absence of cockroaches, on chemical aspects with no files

in accordance with existing standard operating confidentiality procedures and
there is a warning sign at the door of the storage room.
