Abstract
Filling in medical record documents is an activity of recording and
recording patient data, social data, examinations, treatment or actions provided by
the health profession to patients. Completeness of medical resumes affects the speed
of health financing claims, making medical certificates and referral letters. If the
medical resume is incomplete, it will affect the quality of medical records. The
purpose of this study was to determine the completeness of filling out medical
resumes for inpatient diabetes mellitus cases at the M.A Sentot Patrol Indramayu
Regional General Hospital.
The type of research used is quantitative. This research instrument uses an
observation sheet. The population in this study were all inpatient files released in
January - March 2023 with a total of 150 inpatient medical record documents. The
sample in this study was 60 medical record documents. using the Simple Random
Sampling technique.
The results of the study at the M.A Sentot Patrol Indramayu Regional
General Hospital showed that of the 60 medical record documents studied, the
majority were complete, totaling 43 medical record documents (71.6%), and
incomplete medical record documents amounted to 17 medical record documents
(28.4%).
Based on the results of the study, it can be suggested that medical record
officers and nurses must communicate frequently regarding filling out medical
resume files in order to minimize the occurrence of incomplete medical resume files.
