Abstract
Incidents of duplicated medical record documents at the Pantura M.A Sentot
Patrol Regional General Hospital due to a lack of communication between officers when
changing shifts, lack of accuracy by medical record officers when searching for and
storing medical record files. The aim of this study was to find out the incidence of
duplication of record numbers. medical at Pantura Regional General Hospital
M.A Sentot Patrol.
This type of research uses descriptive. The population used in this study was
medical record files in 2023 at the Pantura M.A Sentot Patrol General Hospital using
simple random sampling, a sample of 600 medical record documents. The instrument
used in this study was an observation sheet (check sheet).
The results of this study indicate that of the 85 medical record documents in the
case of duplicate medical record numbers studied, there were 43 (50%) that were
duplicated and 42 (50%) that were not duplicated.
The researcher's suggestion for hospitals is that the numbering system uses a
computerized system, so that it does not cause confusion or duplication in giving
medical record numbers.
