(KTI) REVIEW OF RETENTION IMPLEMENTATION AT KLANGENAN HEALTH CENTER, CIREBON REGENCY

It is recommended that the medical record retention schedule be prepared by a
committee consisting of elements of the medical records committee and medical records
unit that truly understand medical records, functions and values of medical records. The
purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of Retention at the Klangenan
Health Center, Cirebon Regency 2023. The implementation of the Retention of Medical
Record Documents at the UPTD Puskesmas Klangenan Cirebon Regency was carried out
in June 2023 which was guided by the SOP for the Implementation of Retention of
Medical Record Documents.
The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. This research instrument
uses a checklist sheet. The population in this study were medical record officers at the
Klangenan Health Center, Cirebon Regency with primary data sources making
observations with a checklist sheet with medical record officers at the Klangenan Health
Center, Cirebon Regency.
The results of this study showed that the implementation of the retention of
medical record documents at the Klangenan Health Center, Cirebon Regency did not
form a special team for the implementation of the destruction of inactive medical record
documents, this implementation was only carried out by my medical records officer due
to the lack of human resources for medical records officers. This implementation also did
not scan the medical record documents to be destroyed and there was no stage of
checking the use value of the document due to the absence of a use value form.
Based on the results of the study, it can be suggested that Medical Record
Officers improve the implementation of medical record document retention in the future,
because there are several implementations that are not in accordance with the SOP.
