Abstract
The mortality rate is an indicator of quality to assess medical services in hospitals,
namely GDR and NDR. Gross Death Rate (GDR) is the general mortality rate for every
1000 patients discharged. Ideal standard ≤45 per 1000 patients discharged. Net Death
Rate (NDR) is the death rate 48 hours after being admitted for every 1000 patients
discharged. Ideal standard ≤25 per 1000 patients discharged. The purpose of this study is
to determine the GDR and NDR values at Permata Cirebon Hospital in 2018-2022
according to the standards set by Kemenkes in 2011.
The type of research using descriptive quantitative. The variable in this study is
GDR and NDR. The objects used in this study are GDR and NDR reports at Permata
Cirebon Hospital from 2018-2022. The instrument in this study using an observation sheet.
Time of research on 01 May 2023 at Permata Cirebon Hospital.
The results of this study showed value of GDR in 2018 is 45.42‰, in 2019 is
43.40‰, in 2020 is 41.20‰, in 2021 is 40.98‰ and in 2022 it is 37.83‰. meanwhile value
of NDR in 2018 is 16.84‰, in 2019 18.54‰, in 2020 is 13.67‰, in 2021 is 18.88‰ and in
2022 it is 21.83‰.
The conclusion of this research that GDR in 2018 is 45.24‰ and has not met the
ideal standard because over the ideal standard set by Kemenkes that is ≤45 per 1000
patients discharged. And the NDR value in 2018-2022 is has met the ideal standard set by
Kemenkes that is ≤25 per 1000 patients discharged. From the results of this study it is
hoped that medical staff at Permata Cirebon Hospital can continue to improve the
performance of medical services so that the GDR and NDR indicators are always in ideal
conditions.
