Abstract

Accuracy in diagnosis coding is an important thing that must be considered by
medical record personnel. Accuracy in the provision and writing of codes is useful for
providing nursing care, billing claims, improving service quality, comparing morbidity and
mortality data, presenting the top 10 diseases, and other matters related to health services.
The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of accuracy of hypertension
disease with comorbid diagnoses codification based on ICD-10 at RSUD Pantura M.A
Sentot Patrol
This study uses a quantitative descriptive research type, while the variables in this
study are the accuracy of hypertension disease with comorbid diagnoses codification based
on ICD-10. The sample in this study was 61 medical record documents using a simple
random sampling technique. The instrument in this study was observation and the tool
needed was a checklist sheet.
The results showed that there were 43 documents or 70.5% with the correct code,
and 18 documents or 29.5% with the incorrect code. This inaccuracy factor is caused by
coders who are not careful in coding hypertension
The accuracy of Hypertension disease with comorbid diagnoses codification based
on ICD-10 at Pantura M.A Sentot Patrol Regional Hospital, Indramayu Regency has not
reached 100%, this will affect the accuracy of INA-CBG's rates which are currently used
as a payment method for patient services with insurance or guarantees. In addition, the
inaccuracy of codification also affects the reporting of morbidity and mortality, thus
impacting the quality of hospital services.
