Abstract
Comprehensive midwifery care is an approach that is provided in a holistic and
continuous manner (Continuity Of Care) starting from pregnancy, labor, postpartum care,
newborn care, to family planning. This study aims to implement comprehensive care for
Mrs. S at the UPT Puskesmas Gebang, Cirebon Regency, from February 24 to May 24,
2025. The research is structured using the Varney's 7-step management study and SOAP
for a 34-year-old G2P1A0 pregnant woman, covering the period from 37-40 weeks of
pregnancy to 40 days postpartum.
The report in this case study employs a descriptive observational method, with data
collection through interviews, physical examinations, and documentation. The results of
the care provided during pregnancy include one visit, one labor, four postpartum care
sessions, four newborn care sessions, and one contraceptive service. The process
experienced by Mrs. S proceeded smoothly without any complications during the care
provided. After the postpartum period, the mother chose to use a 3-month injectable
contraceptive.
With the implementation of comprehensive care for Mrs. S, it is expected to enhance
students' knowledge, provide input to improve the quality of services in independent
midwifery practice, and broaden the community's understanding of the midwifery care that
should be received according to applicable health service standards.
