THE OUTREACH ACTIVITY OF KAMPUNG IKLIM PROGRAM THROUGH BOOKLETS TOWARD COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE INCREASEMENT IN RW 09 KARANG ANYAR JAGASATRU CIREBON CITY

Stakeholders involved in the outreach activities of the Kampung Iklim Program (ProKlim)
frequently encounter challenges in delivering ProKlim materials, primarily due to the
substantial volume of content and limited time allocated for dissemination. These
constraints hinder the community’s ability to comprehend the program effectively. If not
addressed, such barriers may result in inadequate adaptive and mitigative capacities,
which are directly linked to efforts aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to
mitigate the impacts of climate change.
This study aims to examine the effect of ProKlim outreach activity through booklets toward
community knowledge increasement in RW 09 Karang Anyar, Jagasatru, Cirebon City.
The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design: the One
Group Pretest-Posttest design. This method involves administering a pretest prior to the
intervention and a posttest afterward, using identical test instruments to assess changes in
knowledge (Sugiyono, 2017). Data collection was conducted using this method, and the
sampling technique applied was Stratified Random Sampling with a total of 82
respondents.
Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test revealed a p-value of 0.00, which is
lower than the significance level of α = 0.05. Given that p < 0.05, it can be concluded that
the outreach activity of ProKlim through booklets has a statistically significant impact on
increasing community knowledge in RW 09 Karang Anyar, Jagasatru, Cirebon City.
It is recommended that booklets be produced and distributed as supplementary media that
can serve as a guide for the community, complementing the PowerPoint presentations
during each outreach session.
