THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CONTAINER CONDITIONS AND MOSQUITO BREEDING IN THE CIREBON PORT PERIMETER AREA

There are many containers located in the Perimeter Area of Cirebon Port and the
samples taken were 35 containers, of which 35 containers were 7 positive for
larvae (containing mosquito larvae).
The aim of this research is to determine the condition of containers with mosquito
breeding in the Cirebon Port Perimeter Area.
The research method used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach,
the sample in this research is containers with 35 containers in the Cirebon Port
Perimeter Area and the sampling method is using total sampling using an
observation sheet. By processing the data using the frequency distribution test and
chi-square test.
The results of the analysis in this study were 8 () containers in good condition
with negative larvae broods (containers that had no mosquito larvae), 2 ()
containers in good condition with positive larvae broods (containers containing
mosquito larvae). Then as many as 20 () containers were in poor condition with
negative larvae broods (containers had no larvae), and 5 () container conditions
were not good with positive larvae broods (containers had larvae). The research
results showed that there was no relationship between the condition of containers
and mosquito breeding in the Cirebon Port Perimeter Area with a significance
value of 1,000 > 0.05.
People who carry out activities within the Cirebon Port Perimeter Area should
always pay attention to their surroundings so that there are no more places that
have the potential to become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
