Abstract

Pain is a condition in the form of an unpleasant feeling, which is
very subjective. Pain during infusion in children can be minimized with
non-pharmacological measures. The use of non-pharmacological
techniques has a significant impact on pain management in children.
Various non-pharmacological measures that can be performed include
using cold compresses.
This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental
post-test only non-equivalent control group method. The sampling
technique uses a non-probability sampling method with a consecutive
sampling type with a sample of 40 respondents. The instruments used were
questionnaires and observation sheets. The research location is at Mitra
Plumbon Majalengka Hospital.
The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents
experienced pain levels during infusion in children in the intervention
group, the majority of respondents experienced a slightly more painful
pain level of 53.3%, much more painful 46.7%. While the level of pain
during infusion in children in the control group, the majority of
respondents experienced pain levels where the pain was unbearable 26.6%,
overall pain 60%.
