Abstract
One of the basic concepts of care in the postpartum period for patients after
caesarean section is that early mobilization is given after caesarean section. The
presence of mobilization has a direct impact on accelerating the post-partum healing
process for post-caesarean section surgery patients. In observations of 10 post-cesarean
section patients on the first day, 7 of them did not mobilize early. On the third day, of the
10 patients, 4 of them still had slight bleeding and signs of infection in the wound. The
aim of this study was to determine the correlation between early mobilization and the
length of wound healing in post-caesarean section patients at Mitra Plumbon Hospital,
Cirebon Regency.
The research design used in this research is a correlational descriptive research
design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all postcaesarean section surgery patients who were treated at Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Cirebon
Regency in 2024 and the total sample studied was 44 respondents. The research
instrument used a questionnaire sheet. The research results were analyzed through
univariate tests and bivariate tests.
Almost all respondents had a good level of early mobilization, namely 35 patients
(79.5%). Almost all of them had a good rate of wound healing, namely 38 patients
(86.4%). Bivariate test results with p value of 0.003 (≤0.05).
The results of bivariate analysis show that there is the influence of early
mobilization on the duration of wound healing in post caesarea sectio operation patients.
It is recommended for nurses and hospitals to make early mobilization a form of
intervention in providing nursing actions aimed at speeding up the wound healing
process as well as creating strategic policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Keywords: early mobilization, wound healing, post sectio
