Abstract

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Information and Informatics (Kominfo,
2021) in Indonesia as many as 170 million people play games on various
platforms, 84% of people play games using cellphones, 43% use computers, 20%
use laptops and 9.5% use consoles. , the majority of gaming time is around 7-11
hours per week. In research by Umi, Novrita and Wahid (2019) globally, the
prevalence of sleep disorders in the world varies from 15.3% - 39.2%. Data in
Indonesia shows that most teenagers sleep less than 63%. The aim of this research
is to identify sleep disorders in adolescent electronic game users in Ciawigebang
village, Kuningan district.
The type of research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach design. The
population in this study was 2158. The number of samples taken in this study was
92 people. The sampling technique is by using the quota sampling technique. The
instrument used was the Sleep Disorders Questionnaire.
Based on the results of this research, it was obtained from 92 respondents that 75
(81.5%) teenagers needed attention, especially if an event or movement had the
potential to injure the patient or partner while sleeping and 17 (18.5%) did not
experience insomnia. Based on the results of this study, it was obtained from 92
respondents that 45 (48%) teenagers needed further clinical evaluation for sleep
apnea and 47 (52%) did not need further clinical evaluation for sleep apnea.
Suggestions for ITEKes Mahardika During student practice In the field, it is
hoped that students will be able to provide education and community service
regarding sleep disorders in adolescents. For nurses, this research can be used as a
reference for nurses in motivating teenagers to maintain sleep hours so that
teenagers can get enough sleep. For the Kuningan District Health Service, it is
hoped that the results of this research will be able to monitor and monitor the need
for sleep hours in teenagers.
