THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SPIRITUAL LEVEL AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE ELDERLY IN KEDONDONG VILLAGE WORKING AREA OF DUKUPUNTANG HEALTH CENTER DUKUPUNTANG CIREBON

A person's spiritual level can be interpreted as a form of individual belief in the
existence of God in him. In the elderly phase, generally a person has a tendency to
get closer to God through various religious or spiritual activities. Having good
spirituality is believed to have a positive impact on a person's quality of life.
Quality of life itself reflects the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction of an
individual with various aspects of his life. The purpose of this study was to
determine the relationship between spiritual level and quality of life in the elderly
in the work area of the Dukupuntang Cirebon Health Center.
This type of research is descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach.
Sampling using purposive sampling technique totaling 78 respondents. The
instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis using the Spearman rank test.
The research location was conducted by directly following Posbindu activities in
April. The results showed that the spiritual level with a high spiritual category
was 28 respondents with a percentage (35.9%). The medium spiritual category
was 48 respondents with a percentage (61.5%) and the low spiritual category was
2 respondents with a percentage (2.6%). And the quality of life with a good
quality of life category was 59 respondents with a percentage (75.6%) while the
quality of life was less than 19 respondents with a percentage (24.4%). Spearman
rank test results p value = 0.000 <a = 0, then H0 = rejected meaning there is a
relationship between spiritual level and quality of life in the elderly in the
Dukupuntang Cirebon Health Center work area
Suggestions are expected to further increase spiritual values in the elderly to
improve a higher quality of life in Kedondong Village, Dukupuntang Cirebon
Health Center work area
