Abstract

Background: Nursing students (77.8%) face moderate levels of stress during clinical practice. Self healing is a healing of emotional feelings and negative thoughts as well as an independent method in managing stress. Objective: The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between self-healing and stress levels in nursing students who undergo clinical practice. Method: The method used is a quantitative method with a retrospective approach. The population in this study is a final level nursing student with a total sample of 117 students. The sampling technique used is Total Sampling. Data was collected using a self-healing questionnaire with 9 indicators with reliability validity test results (0.986 > 0.532) and a stress level questionnaire with 6 indicators with reliability validity test results (correlation = 0.612) and analyzed using Kendall's Rank test. Results: The method used is quantitative method with retrospective approach. The population in this study is a final level nursing student with a total sample of 117 students. Data collected using a self healing questionnaire with 9 indicators; forgiveness, gratitude, self compassion, mindfullness, positive self talk, expressive writing, relaxation, imagery obtained from the reliability validity test (0.986 > 0.532) and stress level questionnaire with 6 indicators; unable to control anger, unable to face the problems faced, restless, irritable, easy to compare yourself with others, often feeling difficulties in all problems faced, the results of the reliability validity test (correlation = 0.612) and analyzed using Kendall's Rank test. Conclusion: There is a relationship between self-healing and stress levels in ITEKES Mahardika Cirebon nursing students who underwent clinical practice in 2025. Suggestion: It is expected to be a source of information for nursing students who undergo clinical practice to do self-treatment to be able to develop effective ways to handle the level of stress experienced.
