THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF MATERNAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE STIMULATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF 3 YEAR OLD CHILDREN IN TERUSAN SINDANG VILLAGE INDRAMAYU REGENCY

Child has the characteristic grow and branch since conception to
youth.Development is increasing ability to the structure and bodily functions more
complex in a regular pattern and foretold.One way undertaken to increase
development is stimulation.Stimulation is an activity stimulate child to knowledge
or introduced a new skills very important to increase the intelligence.Research aims
to the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge and the stimulation of
the development of 3 year old children in terusan sindang village,indramayu
regency. Research methodology, this descriptive correlative type this research is
Non-Eksperimental.The techniques of sampling the data used was a total of 55
respondents. An instrument used in this research was a questionnaire for knowledge
and the KPSP to child development. While statistical tests used is statistical tests
parametrik using chi-square with significance level α = 0,05.The results of studies
show that there is the relationship between level of knowledge about stimulation
mother with the development of preschool children, with the value of p = 0,019.
Advice is expected to parents especially mother to further improve the provision of
support in terms of the provision of stimulation to improve child development.
