THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PREVENTIVE BEHAVIOR AND DENGUE HEMORRHAGIC FEVER INCIDENCES AT CIBUGEL VILLAGE COMMUNITY SUMEDANG REGENCY

DHF is a disease that arises due to the presence of dengue viruses originating from
the genus fiaviviridae which cause disease that is transmitted to humans through
the bite of aedes aegepty mosquitoes contaminated by the virus. This study
investigated the relationship between preventive behavior and the incidence of DHF
in Cibugel Village, Sumedang Regency. Using a descriptive correlation design with
a cross-sectional approach, this study involved 93 respondents. Data collection
used a reliable dbd prevention behavior questionnaire and a dbd incidence
questionnaire.
The incidence of high-value dengue fever, namely good behaviour, is categorised as
high with a result of 42, but in the univariate category, there are enough and less
categories that are also high. Therefore it is proportional to the number whose
occurrence of dengue fever has never occurred, it can be seen in the bivariate
crosstab table which shows less and sufficient numbers that are dominant with "yes,
have had dengue fever"
The results of the analysis showed that 45.2% of respondents had good dbd
prevention behavior, while 61.3% had contracted dbd. After the chi square test, a
significant value of 0.000 was obtained, less than 0.05. This shows that there is a
relationship between preventive behavior and the incidence of dbd in Cibugel
village, Sumedang Regency. It is recommended to always behave well in efforts to
prevent dengue fever with PSN 3 M Plus activities simultaneously and apply it in
daily activities.
