Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where systolic blood pressure is > 140 mmHg and/or diastolic is 90 mmHg. healthworkers who work with a rotating shift system are at higher risk of suffering from hypertension when compared to non-shift health workers. One effort to improve individual knowledge, skills, and competence in maintaining health status is the "CERDIK" Program. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between "CERDIK" behavior and the incidence of hypetension in nurses at Mitra Plumbon Cirebon Hospital.
This type of research uses quantitative research with a descriptive correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was nurses at Mitra Plumbon Cirebon Hospital, and the sampling technique used the stratified sampling method of 85 people. Data collection used questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was caried out using univariate analysis with percentages and bivariate analysis with The Chi-Square test (X2).
The results of the study showed that most respondents (54.1%) had goog "CERDIK" behavior and most repondents (37.6%) were in the normal blood pressure category. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test (X2) obtained a p value=0.000<a (0.05), indicating that Ha was accepted, meanning there was a correlation between "CERDIK" behavior and the incidence of hypetension in nurses at Mitra Plumbon Cirebon Hospital.
It is hoped that nurses can improve their ability to consistently apply "CERDIK" behavior holistically to reduce the risk of hypetension.
