Abstract
Chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis are vulnerable to many
physical and psychological disorders. Family support is needed to support therapy
and overcome the side effects of therapy in chronic kidney disease patients. This
study aims to determine the strength of the relationship between family support and
self-esteem levels in chronic kidney disease patients in the Hemodialysis Ward of
Permata Kuningan Hospital. This type of research is quantitative with a
correlational research design and data analysis using Spearman's rho. The
sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 81 people. The
results of the study showed that most respondents had good family support (78
(96.3%) respondents) and a moderate level of self-esteem (77 (95.1%). The results
of the data analysis showed a p value = 0.000, which means Ha is accepted and H0
is rejected, which means there is a relationship between family support and self-
esteem levels in chronic kidney disease patients in the Hemodialysis Room of
Permata Kuningan Hospital.
